Great to meet you!

I started my career working in the substance abuse field. In that area of mental health I was granted the opportunity to learn how to work with all kinds of clients with multiple diagnoses. I recieved my undergraduate and graduate degress from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and have been working in private practice now for three years.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I started therapy when I was in my early twenties and it was the BEST investment I have ever made in myself. I feel like understanding why we do the things we do, why we react to things the way that we do and why we are set in our ways with communication patterns can really help us learn how to live our lives in a mentally healthy manner.

What you can expect from our first session

I feel like I am a very approachable therapist and that my personality and use of humor have helped me to learn how to build apprpriate rapport. I do my best to meet my clients where they are. I believe that progress is much more important than perfection.
