Great to meet you!

My Name is Kenia Rijo and I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist. I received my Masters from Hunter College School of Social Work. I have over a decade of clinical experience working with individuals of all ages navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, intimacy- related issues, motivation and behavior change, self-esteem, caregiver burden, fertility issues, and career difficulties. I am fluent in Spanish which allows me to serve a large range of clients through their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

In my work I believe it is important to work together to help you, the client develop coping skills, cultivate self-love and find peace using a strengths-based and person-centered approach, and most importantly building a better, healthier you as whole, mind body and spirit.

What you can expect from me

I understand that life can feel as if it is happening too fast and you may feel like you need air to breathe, I am here to help you do that. To learn how to refocus on yourself and setting up manageable and realistic goals. It is my goal to help you acknowledge that small victories are just as important, and with time you can achieve and highlight your strengths. Allow yourself the opportunity to work with someone who encourages and will provide you the space to become your authentic self.
