Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Keren Lehavot and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I work with adults—often professionals, parents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community—who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or burned out—often despite things looking “fine” on the outside. I earned my PhD from the University of Washington (UW) and bring over a decade of experience as a psychologist and faculty member at the UW and the VA.

I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and I aim to make the process feel straightforward, thoughtful, and helpful from the start.

My approach to therapy

My approach is active, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavioral therapy and behavioral activation. We’ll work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck and take practical steps toward change.

At the same time, I pay close attention to the bigger picture—your identity, relationships, and environment—and how those shape your experience. Clients often experience me as warm, compassionate, direct, and focused on helping them make meaningful progress.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel uncertain, so my goal is to make the first session feel both comfortable and useful. We’ll focus on understanding what’s bringing you in, what you’ve already tried, and what you want to be different.

I’ll ask targeted questions, share how I’m thinking about your situation, and begin outlining a clear direction for our work. By the end, you should leave with more clarity—and a sense that this is both an affirming space and one that helps you move forward.
