Great to meet you!

I’m Kerry-Ann Smith, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who works primarily with women who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and stretched thin by life’s demands.

I specialize in supporting young adult women, mothers, and professional women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, and hormone-related mental health concerns. Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted, mentally foggy, emotionally reactive, or like they’ve lost themselves while trying to manage work, family, school, and relationships.

Through thoughtful medication management and supportive therapy, I help women regain emotional stability, focus, confidence, and balance so they can feel more like themselves again—not just “function.”

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, warm, and practical. I believe mental health care should feel human, not rushed or transactional.

I take time to truly listen, understand your symptoms in the context of your life, and create a treatment plan that fits you—not a one-size-fits-all approach. I use evidence-based psychiatric care while also considering lifestyle factors, stress, hormones, and life transitions that often affect women’s mental health.

My goal is not just symptom control, but helping you feel emotionally supported, informed, and empowered in your care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a relaxed, supportive conversation focused on understanding what’s been weighing on you and what you want to change.

We’ll review your symptoms, history, current stressors, and goals, and discuss whether medication, supportive therapy, or a combination is appropriate. I’ll answer your questions honestly and make sure you feel comfortable with the plan moving forward.

Clients often tell me they feel heard, validated, and relieved after the first visit—especially if they’ve felt dismissed or rushed in the past.
