Great to meet you!

Over the past eight years I have worked in private practice and higher education serving clients of a variety of ages and backgrounds. I hold a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology as well as undergraduate degrees in Biology, Theater, and Philosophy. I have traveled extensively and learned much about interacting with others from different backgrounds and cultures. My primary life roles are as a father and husband. My self-care includes gardening, reading, and traditional hand tool woodworking.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a strong therapeutic relationship between myself and the client as this is the foundation for all growth in therapy. I listen without judgment and work with you on what is most important in your life to improve. It is a necessity to me that we connect and that you feel comfortable and able to trust in me to be alongside you on this journey.

What you can expect from me

We will begin with an introduction, and I will provide a brief overview of my approach to therapy. You will have the opportunity to share your reasons for seeking therapy, and we will discuss your goals and expectations. I will also ask about your personal history, current challenges, and any specific concerns you would like to address. This initial session is a collaborative process, and I will encourage you to ask any questions you may have. Together, we will outline a plan for future sessions and explore how we can work together to achieve your therapeutic objectives.
