Great to meet you!

Hello!! My name is Kim Stone and I’m glad you’re reaching out to make a positive change in your life. Therapy can be a great resource and support. The best therapy happens where there is a high level of trust between you and your therapist, so it’s important to find a therapist who will be a good fit for you and the types of concerns you have.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor I have worked with clients of all ages and from all walks of life. I have worked with individuals who have concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, life changes and parenting issues. Working through those challenges presents great opportunity for growth. The therapy I provide is Client Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Mindfulness and Motivation Interviewing to assist my clients in becoming their best self.

I earned a Master of Science in Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling and a graduate certificate in Contemporary Theory in Addictive Behavior from Capella University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from ITT Technical Institute. I enjoy spending time with my family and 4 grandchildren.

I am looking forward to talking with you, helping you to develop strategies, and celebrating as you move forward.

My approach to therapy

Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. It’s important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected in our relationship. I’ll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
