Great to meet you!
I am a Black Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling , a Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, along with 13 years of teaching experience. My background in special education, autism, and learning disabilities allows me to bring a deeper level of understanding and support to clients with diverse needs.
I am especially passionate about helping adolescent and adult women who struggle with depression, low self-worth, and challenges related to identity and personal growth. I also have over 12 years of experience as a Christian counselor and offer faith-based therapy for those who desire it. For clients who prefer a non-religious approach, I also provide spiritually focused support centered on personal growth, purpose, and connection.
My Approach
My style is warm, direct, and engaging. I value honesty and open communication, but more importantly, I value creating a safe place for my client’s to feel heard, and I encourage clients to be active participants in their healing process. I also incorporate mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and creative elements like music when appropriate to support emotional expression and stress reduction.
