Great to meet you!

I am a licensed therapist specializing in grief, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I work with individuals who are navigating loss, overwhelming emotions, past traumatic experiences, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported while developing the insight and practical tools needed to create meaningful change.

I believe that growth and healing are possible for everyone. Whether you are struggling with grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I am committed to helping you build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create a more balanced and fulfilling life. My role is to provide both support and honest feedback as we work together toward your goals.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is direct, honest, and collaborative. I believe effective therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Every person has a unique story, set of strengths, and challenges, so I tailor treatment to meet each client’s specific needs and goals. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions. I also incorporate creative approaches such as art and music therapy when appropriate to support emotional expression and healing.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. You will have the opportunity to share your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and what you hope to gain from treatment. We will also review your personal history, emotional and mental health symptoms, relationships, coping strategies, and any past experiences with therapy.

The first session is designed to help us build a clear understanding of your needs and begin identifying goals for treatment. You can expect a supportive but direct approach, where I ask thoughtful questions, offer honest feedback, and work collaboratively with you to create a plan tailored to your specific circumstances. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so our work together will be customized to fit your unique strengths, challenges, and goals.

Most importantly, the first session is an opportunity to determine whether we are a good fit. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and supported. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a better understanding of how we can work together and what the next steps in your healing process may look like.
