Great to meet you!
Hi, I’m Kyle Brown, LCSW, SEP (they/them). In regards to my social locations: I identify as Black, queer, non-binary, neurodivergent, able-bodied, male presenting, a liberal, California native, a swimmer, and as someone who grew up with a single mother and a community of support. These identities heavily influence how I see and relate to the world. My work centers trauma-informed, identity-affirming care for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals seeking healing, clarity, and especially joy. As Toi Derricotte reminds us, “Joy is an act of resistance.”
I integrate Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, CBT, elements of DBT, mindfulness, Reiki, and relational therapy to help clients reconnect with their bodies and move toward intentional, embodied change. I have specialized training in using EMDR for a range of issues including addiction, chronic pain, and complex trauma. My approach is both relational and goal-oriented, balancing emotional depth with actionable strategies that foster meaningful growth.
