Great to meet you!

I was trained at the University of Iowa. I completed both an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) and Doctorate (Ph.D.) in School/Clinical psychology. I have worked with children and families in school settings for about 20 years. My primary area of expertise would be working to help those who have social-emotional and behavioral difficulties.

My approach to therapy

My style is solution-focused. I use cognitive-behavioral techniques and interpersonal therapy strategies and I try to include ways that you can measure your own growth. I see myself as a sounding board for clients. With children, I use non-directive play therapy techniques and offer role-play opportunities to improve their social skills with others.

What you can expect from me

I aim for clients to take away strategies that they can continue to use. It is also my hope that the things we cover are meaningful and they can commit to changing in ways that make life more meaningful.
