Hello! My name is Liane Swisher and I am a licensed counselor in the state of Ohio. After graduating with my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December 2017, I began my career specializing in treating mood-related disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma. I find being a therapist to be quite rewarding and feel privileged to be able to support people as they navigate their mental health.
I believe in working collaboratively with clients in therapy to ensure clients feel heard, understood and empowered. Authenticity and creativity are also important values to me, so I tend to be more direct yet am open to finding creative ways to incorporate helpful skills and new learning into sessions. Trauma-focused therapy is my specialty, and I am trained in both EMDR and TF-CBT. You may also expect for me to use CBT and DBT-informed approaches, which includes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
I am committed to creating a non-judgmental environment of safety and compassion for my clients. After meeting for the first time and determining if this is a good match, we'll work together to define you unique goals for therapy.
