Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Libby! The most important part of therapy is being able to form an authentic relationship with your therapist - a relationship that offers unconditional support while also helping you to grow and change in meaningful ways. I can’t wait to go on this journey with you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been working in the human services field for about 9 years. I am also a professor of Psychology and Human Services at Colorado Mountain College. In my clinical practice, I work with individuals experiencing an array of challenges including anxiety, depression, experiences of trauma and PTSD, attachment concerns, and the many other nuanced issues experienced by humans.

I look forward to getting to know you and accompanying you on your path towards a more centered and meaningful life.

My approach to therapy

I believe that people are doing the best that they can, and yet we are impacted by our past experiences and the systems that we exist within. We all have choice and - with an authentic therapeutic relationship, opportunities to process the past, and support in developing new skills - all people are able to make meaningful change.

I use a variety of modalities that are all grounded in my belief that people are inherently good and are seeking growth and meaning, yet may need support in processing and developing skills that help them to achieve their goals. Some modalities include Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me will be warm, joyful, and also deeply challenging at at times. I hope to create an environment where you can be truly authentic and honest so that you are able to grow.
