Great to meet you!

I've practiced for over forty years in hospital and outpatient settings. For the past thirty-five years I've been in private practice in Smyrna, GA. My Bachelors degree in Psychology is from Dartmouth and my Masters degree in Social Work is from Columbia. I work with individuals, couples and families, ages young adults through "super-seniors" (90+ years). Given my experience and ongoing professional training, I see people with a wide variety of mental health and relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

Basic to my style is that I am non-judgmental and accepting. As a Social Worker, I am interested in a person's whole life ecology, including relationships, work, and personal history in addition to any emotional or behavior concerns.

What you can expect from me

I start with several assessment sessions to orient myself and the client to our process together. This provides a basis for setting goals for our work and choosing helpful, evidence-based tools. Clients should experience a sense of being listened to, respected, and that there is a way forward to their goals.

I do not participate in EAPs.
