Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting children and adolescents. I began my career working with young people in after-school programs and preschool settings, which inspired me to pursue a Master’s in School Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.

After eight years as an elementary school counselor and currently serving as a middle school counselor, I founded Mountain Sage Counseling to provide individual therapy tailored to the unique needs of youth. I specialize in helping children and teens navigate emotional regulation, anxiety, peer relationships, identity development, and life transitions. In addition to working with youth, I also support adults seeking growth, healing, and clarity as they navigate challenges related to anxiety, parenting, relationships, and personal development.

I'm certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trained as a Peace-Keeper Facilitator, and bring additional expertise as a Cultural Competency Specialist and Sexual Health Educator. I also co-founded Rocky Mountain Kid C.L.U.B.S., a nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth social-emotional wellness.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each client's unique experience. I believe in meeting people where they are, offering a supportive space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. Drawing on my background in school counseling and clinical experience, I integrate evidence-based practices while tailoring each session to the developmental needs of the client.

I place a strong emphasis on relationship-building, emotional safety, and practical skill-building. Whether we’re working on managing anxiety, improving peer relationships, understanding identity, or navigating life transitions, I bring a compassionate presence and a deep commitment to helping clients grow in confidence, self-awareness, and resilience.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients often describe me as easy to talk to, kind, patient, and an excellent listener. In our work together, people can expect a space where they feel accepted and supported exactly as they are. My goal is to help them feel more empowered and capable in their daily lives, equipped with tools to manage difficult emotions, communicate more effectively, and build stronger relationships.

Parents and caregivers can expect open communication, respectful collaboration, and a shared investment in helping their child or teen thrive emotionally, socially, and mentally. Over time, clients often develop greater emotional regulation, self-compassion, and confidence to navigate challenges both inside and outside of therapy.
