Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Washington State University. I have experience providing outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and other mood concerns.

Before becoming a psychiatric provider, I spent over a decade working as a registered nurse in high-risk obstetrics. That experience shaped my interest in the connection between physical and mental health, and I have a particular interest in supporting individuals during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I work with adults across the lifespan and strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment where patients feel heard and involved in their care.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based practice. My role is to provide information, support, and advocacy while empowering clients to make decisions that feel right for them.

I encourage a comprehensive approach to treatment that may include therapy, lifestyle factors, and other supports, with medication used as one tool when appropriate. This often means taking time over a few visits to ensure we are comfortable with a treatment plan or any medication changes, and I typically schedule follow-up within about two weeks after starting or adjusting medications to make sure things are working well.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about 75 minutes and focuses on getting to know the client and understanding their priorities for care. Together, we will review their mental health and medical history, current medications, and discuss any social or life factors that may be affecting their well-being, such as work, stress, or family support.

After the initial visit, a follow-up appointment is typically scheduled within about a week to review the information discussed and work together to finalize a treatment plan.
