Great to meet you!

I understand that deciding to start therapy can be difficult. At one point in my life, I was faced with that same decision. Often, the hardest part of therapy is looking in the mirror and confronting the experiences and choices that brought you to this moment. It takes courage to acknowledge your feelings and commit to making a change for yourself.

You don’t have to do this alone. I am willing to partner with you. Together, we can create a safe, supportive space where healing and growth are possible. Let’s get to work and start your therapeutic journey. Oh, hi, my name is Lisa, and I've been a therapist for over 20 years. I've been married for 17 years, I am the mother of six adult children, and 13 grandchildren.

My approach to therapy

Lisa’s Integrative Therapeutic Approach

1. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

In practice: Lisa helps clients notice negative self-talk and replace it with more balanced, reality-based thinking.

2. Solution-Focused Therapy

In practice, Lisa likely emphasizes what is working in a client’s life and helps them build on those successes.

3. Reality Therapy

In practice, Lisa might ask questions like, “Is what you’re doing getting you what you want?” to encourage accountability and self-efficacy.

4. Erikson’s Developmental Theory

In practice, Lisa may explore earlier life experiences to identify unmet developmental needs impacting adult relationships or self-concept.

5. Attachment-Based Therapy

In practice, Lisa might help clients recognize attachment styles and build healthier relational patterns.

6. The Enneagram Framework

In practice: Lisa might use the Enneagram as a lens for understanding emotional triggers and fostering personal growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with Lisa to be warm, exploratory, unveiling, and empowering — a mix of thoughtful reflection, practical goal-setting, and gentle curiosity about what’s driving current challenges and how to create positive change.
