Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome.

My name is Lisa Holmes, MS, LPC, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have extensive experience working with survivors of trauma, including Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Military Sexual Assault (MST).

I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward healing and personal growth. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, recognizing that every person’s journey is unique.

Whether you are struggling with the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, or simply seeking greater emotional wellness, I am committed to helping you build resilience, restore hope, and achieve your goals.

I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients on their path toward healing and empowerment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, client-centered, and solution-focused. I believe that healing occurs within a safe, supportive, and trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I strive to provide empathetic counseling that honors each individual’s unique experiences while helping them identify strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful change. Together, we work toward healing, resilience, and achieving personal goals at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for each client.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and start building a comfortable, trusting connection. We’ll go over any needed intake forms, talk about confidentiality and what counseling looks like, and discuss what brought you to therapy. You’ll have the chance to share your goals, expectations, and hopes in a supportive, welcoming, and judgment-free space. Together, we’ll talk through what you’d like to achieve, identify what feels most important to focus on, and begin creating a plan that fits your unique needs and circumstances. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a better sense of how the counseling process works, a clearer direction for moving forward, and practical next steps to help you work toward your goals.
