Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor and former legal professional who transitioned into counseling to pursue a path that felt like a better personal fit and allowed for more direct connection with others.

I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University in 2012 and completed my doctorate at Pace in 2017. My early clinical training focused on working with children and their families in a community clinic setting.

I now work in private practice with clients across all life stages, offering a supportive, collaborative space for growth and meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I’m a collaborative therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions, and I tailor my approach to meet each person’s unique needs and goals.

My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and practical. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques to help clients build insight, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change.

I believe therapy is a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you work toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is designed to help us build a strong foundation for our work together. Before we meet, you’ll receive documents through a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal, including an informed consent form and an intake questionnaire, which I encourage you to complete in advance. During our initial session, we will review these documents together to ensure you have a clear understanding of the therapy process, expectations, and your rights as a client. We’ll also spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, exploring relevant aspects of your personal history, and identifying your goals. By the end of the session, we will begin to collaboratively develop a plan to guide our work moving forward at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
