Great to meet you!
Hi, I'm Maha Griffin, LCSW. I'm a licensed clinical social worker in California with over 11 years of experience in mental health, crisis intervention, and family services. Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience of overcoming adversity, which has deepened my empathy and strengthened my commitment to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for healing. I believe our life experiences shape how we connect, heal, and grow. Growing up in a low-income community and navigating systemic challenges gave me a deep appreciation for resilience and the strength it takes to create lasting change. As someone of biracial East African and European heritage, I value cultural humility and believe every person's story deserves to be honored. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, empowering, and gently challenging when it supports your growth. I'm passionate about helping people reconnect with their authentic selves, heal from difficult life experiences, and build lives that align with their values. Together, we'll increase self-awareness, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. Outside the therapy room, I'm a wife, mom of three, and a proud German Shepherd owner. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me daily of the power of connection, resilience, and hope. I'd be honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
