Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Maria and I welcome the opportunity to work with you to investigate and resolve your concerns. I am also here to listen and provide feedback I am a fully licensed mental health professional in the state of Florida with over 30 years of practice. I work with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, trauma and substance abuse. I am trained in the trauma technique of EMDR. I received a master's in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is both psychodynamic and CBT (cognitive-based therapy). Gathering a strong background story is important to know where you are today. How we were raised, and the beliefs we created about ourselves, are often important to investigate.

What you can expect from our first session

You are an important part of defining how you want your treatment to flow, and what you hope to accomplish. My goal is to investigate with you and help define a strategy to meet those goals. And then implement that strategy.
