Maricarmen Soto

Hi, I'm Maricarmen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida with combined experience in therapy and case management. I came up doing community based work, which means I bring a grounded, real world sensibility to the therapy room. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all treatment and I'm not interested in just managing symptoms, I want you to leave therapy actually knowing yourself better than when you started. I specialize in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions, and I work from an eclectic, evidence-based framework that I tailor to each person. I'm direct, I'm curious, and I genuinely care about the people I work with in a way that makes me think about your progress long after our session ends.

My approach is collaborative and tailored. What we focus on and how we work will depend on what you need. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT-informed skills, somatic interventions, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) concepts to help you understand your patterns, reconnect with yourself, and build real capacity for change.

Before scheduling, I offer a free consultation call to see if we're a good fit. You'll leave with clarity on whether we should work together and a sense of the best next steps, either way. Most of my availability is on weeknights and weekends. From the first session onward, we'll process what you're carrying, explore what's underneath it, and build practical ways of coping that actually hold. All of it happens in a space where you don't have to filter yourself or hold anything back.
