Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with decades of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and older adults through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

I spent eight years working in a nonprofit community mental health setting in New York City, providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care to diverse and underserved populations. My experience also includes work in inpatient psychiatric settings, supporting individuals during acute mental health crises, as well as involvement in psychiatric research, strengthening my commitment to evidence-based treatment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded and focused on empowering clients to build insight, resilience, and lasting change.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish and take pride in serving individuals and families from diverse cultural and cultural backgrounds. I am especially effective with teens navigating identity and emotional regulation, adults facing trauma, transitions, and relational challenges, and older adults processing grief, loss, and life-stage changes.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. We will begin by exploring what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences while also giving you space to share at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin identifying initial goals and a path forward that feels supportive, collaborative, and aligned with your needs.
