Great to meet you!

Reaching out for support can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure where to begin. I believe finding the right therapeutic fit is an important part of the process, and I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable, supported, and understood.

I work with adults and couples across a range of life stages, with a focus on men navigating depression, stress, and substance use; adults facing anxiety and life transitions; and couples seeking support with communication, connection, and premarital preparation. I also help clients navigate trauma and explore concerns related to intimacy, sexuality, and other significant life changes.

My background includes training in trauma-informed care and EMDR, which I integrate into my work to help clients process difficult experiences and build lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to each individual or couple. I draw from EMDR, person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and narrative approaches to support both insight and practical skill-building. In my work with couples, I also utilize the Prepare/Enrich assessment to help partners better understand their strengths, communication styles, and areas for growth. This can be especially helpful for premarital counseling as well as couples looking to strengthen or repair their relationship.

I believe we all carry narratives that shape how we understand ourselves and our relationships. Sometimes those patterns no longer serve us, or feel difficult to make sense of alone. We can work together to make sense of your experiences together, while also finding practical ways to help you feel more steady, clear, and supported in your day-to-day life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk through your current concerns, relevant history, and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and see if working together feels like a good fit.

My goal is for you to feel heard and supported, without pressure to share more than you’re ready for. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and begin identifying goals that feel realistic and aligned with where you are right now.

Pain is inevitable in life, but we have the freedom to choose how we respond to it. As Viktor Frankl wrote, “What is to give light must endure burning.” You don’t have to navigate this alone. It would be an honor to support you as you move toward healing, clarity, and a greater sense of connection in your life.
