Great to meet you!

Since 1999, I have devoted my career to helping couples, individuals, and families build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I specialize in couples therapy, premarital counseling, healing after infidelity, communication difficulties, recurring conflict, intimacy concerns, parenting challenges, blended families, and navigating separation or divorce. I also help individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, grief, low self esteem, and relationship concerns.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Gottman Seven Principles Leader, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and a Board Certified TeleMental Health provider. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in child development and family studies from Purdue University.

My approach to therapy

My approach is active, structured, and focused on helping you create meaningful change. In couples therapy, I draw heavily from Gottman Method Couples Therapy, using research based strategies to identify patterns that keep partners feeling hurt, disconnected, or misunderstood. I help couples communicate more effectively, manage conflict, rebuild trust, strengthen friendship and intimacy, and replace unproductive interactions with healthier ones.

I offer honest feedback in a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment and frequently provide practical exercises or assignments that allow you to continue making progress between sessions. My goal is not to take sides, but to understand the relationship and help both partners feel heard, respected, and supported.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for me to understand what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your relationship or life, and what you hope will change. Couples can expect each partner to have space to share their perspective while we begin identifying strengths, concerns, and recurring patterns within the relationship. Together, we will clarify your goals and discuss a structured plan for moving forward.

I know beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when trust has been damaged or conflict has become overwhelming. My priority is to create a balanced, respectful space where you feel understood and leave with greater clarity and hope about the path ahead.
