Great to meet you!

I wanted to be a doctor but they don't talk to their patients much. I switched to psychology with an emphasis on counseling and loved it. I enjoy helping people and seeing them help themselves.

I have experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings with some home health as well. I have worked with kids up to people at the end of their lives. I have experience with cooccurring disorders and health issues.

When starting I like to look at the whole picture with a summary of the past.

My approach to therapy

As a counselor I have over time found Dialectical behavior therapy , cognitive behavioral therapy or a mix of therapies that works best with clients. I am open to alternative lifestyles. I recognize everyone has their own level of comfort. I aim to meet any client on their level and help only as much as they would like.

What you can expect from me

When starting I like to look at the whole picture with a summary of the past. I do not do trauma work without a good level of coping skills. I will assign homework based on client individual needs .
