Great to meet you!

I am a queer therapist offering a warm and compassionate therapeutic space. I am trauma informed, neurodivergent inclusive, and guided by Health At Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating (IE) principals. I received my bachelor’s degree at UC Santa Cruz, and master’s degree at San Jose State University. I have worked in many different treatment settings in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Santa Clara counties, including middle and high schools, community college, primary care clinic, community mental health agencies, and an IOP/PHP program.

My treatment areas include body image (using HAES and IE approach), anxiety disorders, mood disorders, gender and sexuality concerns, and trauma. I specialize in services to the LBGTQIA+ population.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy using an eclectic and humanistic style, where the treatment is customized to the specific needs of each client. I frequently utilize self compassion, somatic skills, and art therapy techniques. I strive to create an equal partnership with clients, rather than one of authority. I help you create enhanced self understanding, growing sense of autonomy, and compassion towards yourself.

What you can expect from me

In your first session we will go over informed consent, where I explain expectations and your rights for therapy. I will share a little bit about myself, and will invite you to share your reasons for coming to therapy. We will decide together if we are a good fit!
