Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Mary Drumgold, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in New Orleans. I am passionate about supporting individuals in achieving mental wellness and overall well-being.

I take a holistic approach to therapy—nurturing the whole person while incorporating evidence-based practices to promote meaningful and lasting healing. My work centers on creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

If you’re looking for a judgment-free space to show up as your authentic self, you are in the right place. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, peace, and balance.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I believe our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply connected, and by identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns, we can create meaningful shifts in how we feel and respond to life’s challenges.

In our work together, we will focus on practical solutions and actionable steps while also exploring the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I value a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where we work as a team to identify goals, build coping strategies, and create lasting positive change.

While CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy are central to my work, I also draw from an eclectic, client-centered approach to meet your individual needs. I am committed to supporting and gently holding you accountable throughout the process, helping you stay aligned with your goals and the progress you want to see. My focus is on empowering you, strengthening your self-awareness, and equipping you with tools for sustained growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my primary goal is to create a comfortable and welcoming environment where you feel at ease and safe to share. I strive to balance relatability with professionalism so that you feel both supported and confident in the therapeutic process.

We’ll spend time getting to know one another—without pressure or rush—while discussing your current concerns, personal history, and what brought you to therapy. We will also explore your goals and what you hope to achieve, so that our work together is intentional and focused on what matters most to you.

My aim is to ensure you feel heard, valued, and supported as you take this important step toward growth and healing.

Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I’m honored to walk alongside you in the process.
