Great to meet you!

Seeking therapy is a courageous step. As a licensed mental health therapist and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), I work with adults who may be navigating anxiety, mood changes, life transitions, relationship stress, substance abuse concerns, burnout, or simply feeling stuck. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to explore what’s beneath the surface at your own pace.

As a bilingual therapist, I offer sessions in both English and Spanish. For many clients, being able to express emotions in their primary language allows for deeper connection and cultural understanding. I am mindful of the ways culture, family dynamics, and identity influence mental health and relationships.

Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and attentive. I strive to listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, and tailor our work to your unique needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you’re looking for practical coping tools, deeper self-exploration, or support during a challenging period, we will move at a pace that feels right for you.

Therapy is not about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, increase emotional awareness, and build a life that feels more aligned and intentional.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I integrate cognitive-behavioral strategies with insight-oriented and strengths-based work, helping clients not only manage symptoms but also understand patterns, emotional triggers, and core beliefs that shape their experiences. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and gently challenging — a place where growth happens through curiosity, honesty, and compassion.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust.

During this initial meeting, I’ll ask questions to better understand what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any relevant personal or mental health history. We’ll explore what feels most important for you right now and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together.

You can also expect:

  • A review of confidentiality and how therapy works
  • Space for you to ask questions about my approach
  • A collaborative conversation about goals and next steps

There’s no pressure to share everything all at once. Some clients arrive with clear goals, while others simply know that something doesn’t feel right — both are completely okay. My role is to help clarify, support, and guide.

By the end of the first session, you should have a sense of whether you feel comfortable working with me and what our ongoing work may look like. Therapy is a collaborative process, and finding the right fit matters.
