Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who runs a private practice called Next Play Therapy. I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, and athletes. My background includes both school-based counseling and outpatient therapy, where I’ve helped clients manage anxiety, stress, depression, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. I also have experience coaching high school athletics, which has shaped my passion for helping athletes build confidence and mental resilience. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and empowered to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is supportive, collaborative, and practical. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based counseling to help clients better understand themselves and develop healthy coping skills. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not a judgmental environment, and I work with clients to create realistic goals that fit their lives. I focus on helping people build confidence, manage stress, and develop tools they can use outside of sessions.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current challenges, goals, and any important background information at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll begin identifying practical next steps and what you’d like to get out of therapy.
