Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Ohio, where I've built my practice around virtual therapy after working with community mental health agencies for around 10 years. My Master's in Counseling from Ohio University gave me the foundation, but honestly, it's the years of sitting with clients through their toughest moments that shaped how I work. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, particularly with adults who are navigating major life transitions or feeling stuck. What clients tell me they appreciate most is that I bring both empathy and practical tools, creating a space that feels genuinely supportive while helping them move forward.

My approach to therapy

I blend evidence-based techniques like CBT with a client-centered philosophy because, let's face it, you're the expert on your own life. My role is to collaborate with you on setting meaningful goals and providing practical strategies that actually fit your situation. I prioritize creating a warm, nonjudgmental environment where we can explore what's really going on beneath the surface. Therapy should adapt to you, your pace, your needs, your unique circumstances, not the other way around.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is pretty straightforward and low-pressure. We'll spend about 50 minutes getting acquainted, talking through what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you're hoping to gain from our work together. I'll explain how therapy works, handle the necessary informed consent paperwork, and we'll sketch out an initial direction. There's absolutely no expectation to dive into heavy topics right away. Think of it as us laying the groundwork and making sure you feel comfortable before we really get started.
