Great to meet you!

My name is Meagan Bamberger, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a deep commitment to providing affirming, inclusive, and person-centered therapy. I believe that healing occurs in safe and supportive spaces, and my practice is founded on the principle that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported as their authentic, whole selves.

I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University, and I’ve worked in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient mental health clinics, community-based organizations, and school systems. My approach is integrative, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges. I have a strong passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent folks, caregivers, and people seeking culturally competent and anti-oppressive mental health care.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you in uncovering your strengths, working through challenges, and building the tools you need to feel more grounded, connected, and empowered. I provide a warm, affirming space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, relationship concerns, or simply feeling stuck, we’ll work together to make sense of what you’re going through and create meaningful, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a safe, supportive space where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are welcomed with compassion and without judgment. My goal is to create an environment where you feel truly seen and heard, where you can show up as your whole self, even if you’re still figuring out who that is.

Clients often walk away from our work with:

  • A deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns
  • Greater clarity around their needs, boundaries, and values
  • Tools to manage anxiety, navigate conflict, and cope with stress
  • A stronger sense of identity, purpose, and direction
