Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I'm Melissa Bradford, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping children, teens, adults, and families navigate life's challenges with confidence and hope. I specialize in working with children and teens ages 4–17, as well as adults experiencing concerns related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, and parenting concerns. My goal is to foster a welcoming and supportive environment where clients feel valued, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Mercer University. I utilize a variety of clinical approaches that are targeted to clients' needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), playful activities, client-centered approaches, mindfulness-based methods, family therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT).

My approach to therapy is rooted in authenticity, and my goal is to assist each client to ensure they can achieve success in their mental health recovery. I believe that with support, perseverance, and a positive mindset, change is possible, which creates the ability to overcome life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

We'll begin by building rapport. Generally, I start with an icebreaker activity to help the client feel more comfortable, then address what the client may want to discuss.
