Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California, New York, and Pennsylvania. I identify as a ciswoman of color, daughter of a Guyanese immigrant, wife, and mother. My expertise is in the treatment of anxiety, traumatic stress and addiction, as well as other issues that are typically perpetuated by shame and stigma such as identity-based stress. I have certifications and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy focuses on empowerment and transformation. I am direct, collaborative, compassionate, liberation-focused, and trauma-informed. Using evidence-based practices and therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches, I help folks build practical skills, reconnect with their strengths and values, and experience greater emotional stability and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

The goal is to move from simply surviving towards enjoying the present moment and thriving. Let’s find the light and stay in it. I know how hard it is to take the first step and would be honored to provide some relief and help on your healing journey.
