Great to meet you!

I have more than 20 years' licensed experience serving the residents of Nevada as a Social Work Case Manager, Forensic Social Worker, Hospital Social Worker, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and as a Psychotherapist. I have treated diverse populations with empathy, compassion and understanding. I know that building a genuine rapport creates a space where clients feel welcome, safe and valued. My goals are to partner with each of my clients and help them become more resilient, healthy, and enjoy a greater measure of peace in their lives and relationships.

My approach to therapy

Clients will learn to recognize their individual worth, improve self-esteem, develop coping and emotional regulation skills, strengthen resilience, foster healthy relationships and boundaries, experience gratitude and live more joyful lives. Clients may receive homework to help them remember and practice healthy emotional and behavioral responses to challenging situations while not in session.

What you can expect from me

I look at initial therapy sessions as an opportunity for me and my clients to build a connection, discuss their concerns, and set the stage for their therapeutic journey. I encourage my clients to prepare for their first session by noting any questions or concerns they may have. Clients are always free to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable doing so. I encourage clients to be honest in session, as that helps me understand their situations better. Clients can sometimes feel nervous or apprehensive, especially if they have never been in therapy before. This is normal, and clients are encouraged to share these emotions with me.
