Great to meet you!

After working as a pediatric, NICU, and postpartum nurse for over 10 years, I witnessed the need for mental, emotional, and spiritual healing alongside the physical healing that is the foundation of traditional nursing work so I went on to pursue a career in counseling. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 2021 and enjoy using my skills to support families and individuals through work as a professional counselor.

My approach to therapy

I come from a person-centered and integrative approach to counseling in which I assess each client's individual needs and take skills from several different evidenced based treatment models to tailor my work to their unique needs. Warm, personable, and a lover of laughter, I also like to incorporate humor, art, play, and metaphor into my work with clients as appropriate.

What you can expect from me

I work with each client to set out goals for our work together and come alongside them to meet those goals. I see myself as a trail guide on a journey up a challenging mountain in life. You choose the trail (goals), I am just there to help you reach them through encouragement, support, and professional training. Together, we will traverse the valleys and summit the peaks and learn more about ourselves, building resilience along the way.
