Great to meet you!

I bring a personable and down-to-earth style to therapy, creating a space where you can be honest in ways you may not feel safe being anywhere else. A space where you can set aside the roles you play and connect with the version of you that doesn't have to perform. I’ll invite you to be honest not only about your story, but also about how therapy feels for you, so we can adjust together. I believe humor, curiosity, and compassion all belong in the room, and I see therapy as a place to untangle how you process experiences and how that shapes the way you feel and respond in daily life. Our therapy together can help you strengthen your relationship with yourself and others, build motivation, and begin to see life with a more grounded, hopeful outlook.

My approach to therapy

My approach combines practical skill-building with deeper exploration. While much of my training is in cognitive-behavioral therapy, which helps you focus on the here-and-now and learn concrete tools, I also consider the impact of your early experiences to better understand how past relationships and events may shape current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I see therapy as an interactive process where I actively listen, provide feedback, and offer recommendations, always adjusting my approach to fit your unique personality and needs.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will feel a little different from the ones that follow. It’s a mix of introductions and an intake process, where I’ll ask questions to understand your background, concerns, and goals. I’m very aware--and you may be too--that you’re meeting with a virtual stranger and being asked to share some of the most personal parts of your life. Because of that, I encourage you to be patient with yourself and only share what feels manageable, trusting that as our rapport grows, comfort and openness will come more naturally. While this first meeting is more structured, my priority is that you feel safe, heard, and supported as we lay the foundation for our work together.
