Great to meet you!

You’re probably used to handling things on your own.

You go to work, take care of responsibilities, show up for people but behind the scenes, it’s a different story.

Maybe your mind won’t shut off at night, replaying conversations or worst-case scenarios. Maybe you feel on edge for no clear reason, snapping quicker than you used to or pulling away from people. Maybe you’re drinking more than you planned, telling yourself it’s just to relax... but it’s becoming a routine. Or maybe something from your past still hits you out of nowhere and you don’t really talk about it.

From the outside, you look fine. Inside, it’s heavier than it should be.

I’m Milton. I work with men who are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, past experiences that still show up, and struggles with alcohol or substance use. You don’t have to clean it up or have the “right words” here you just have to be honest.

My approach to therapy

We focus on what’s actually going to help not just talking for the sake of talking.

We break down what’s going on in real situations:

  • What’s running through your head when you can’t sleep
  • What leads up to you shutting down, getting irritated, or checking out
  • Why certain habits keep repeating even when you’re trying to stop

Then we work on changing it in a way that’s practical and realistic.

That might mean:

  • Getting your thoughts under control so they don’t spiral
  • Finding better ways to deal with stress than drinking or numbing out
  • Learning how to respond differently instead of reacting automatically
  • Building back a sense of control and confidence

I’m direct, open-minded, and focused on solutions. You’ll understand what’s going on and you’ll leave with things you can actually use.

What you can expect from me

No pressure, no overcomplicating it.

We’ll start with what’s been going on recently what pushed you to finally reach out. You don’t need a perfect explanation, just be real about where you’re at.

I’ll ask some straight-up questions to understand what you’re dealing with, what you’ve tried, and where things tend to go off track.

From there, we’ll figure out what needs to change first and what a realistic path forward looks like.

By the end, you’ll have a clearer picture of what’s been keeping you stuck and what you can start doing differently.
