Great to meet you!

I'm an LCSW with more than 12 years of experience. I received my MSW from Norfolk State University and a BS in the field of psychology from Regent University. I'm currently pursuing my Ph.D. D degree at Walden University, in which I have completed all my course requirements, and am currently working on my dissertation prospectus. I look forward to meeting you and learning how I may best assist you in becoming a better version of yourself.

My approach to therapy

My clients describe me as caring, empathetic, respectful, and empowering. I utilize CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Intervention, Solution Focus, and ACT therapy modalities to help empower and allow my clients to become better versions of themselves. I believe in treating others with dignity, and respect. I believe that everyone has value and worth, even if they feel as though they doesn't. I value and understand the importance of relationships/partnerships.

What you can expect from me

We may not all have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder, BUT we all have mental health. With that said, clients can expect to take away from my sessions a sense of feeling valued, seen, heard, and respected, knowing that what they are struggling with matters.
