Great to meet you!

If you're the person everyone else leans on, but you're not quite sure who you're supposed to lean on, you're probably my kind of client. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist, and counselor educator with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I work with children, teens, adults, couples and families (everyone!). But many of the adults I see are helpers by nature: people-pleasers, caregivers, perfectionists, and deeply caring humans who have spent so much time taking care of everyone else that they've lost sight of themselves. My goal isn't to "fix" you. It's to help you reconnect with who you are, what matters to you, and how you want to move through the world.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy can be both meaningful and enjoyable. Some sessions involve talking through challenges, while others may include creative activities, reflection exercises, or practical tools to help you gain new perspectives. My role isn’t to tell you how to live your life! It’s to help you better understand yourself, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and move toward the life you want to create. I strive to create a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and genuine-probably with a ton of metaphors along the way.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really just a conversation. I'll ask questions, you'll ask questions, and together we'll start figuring out what brought you here and where you'd like to go. We'll begin building a roadmap for therapy, knowing that roadmaps can change as we learn more. We'll identify what's working, what's not, and what you'd like your life to look like moving forward. You can also expect plenty of analogies, occasional humor, and a space where you don't have to have everything figured out before you come to session.
