Great to meet you!

I am an easy-going licensed mental health counselor at Choices Counseling and Consulting. I received both my master’s at Russell Sage College in Forensic Mental Health and in Counseling and Community Psychology. I have worked with a variety of individuals, most recently working with youth within middle schools, alternative schools, and in the Juvenile Justice system. Prior to that, I spent an extensive amount of time working within the substance abuse field, working within an outpatient clinic.

My approach to therapy

Within therapy, I use a multitude of techniques from Gestalt to Motivational Interviewing to CBT to Solution-Focused. It all depends on the client, their needs, and how best to address their needs. I meet the client where there are and help them achieve the goals they feel they need.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be validated in their feelings and experiences. I will challenge them on some of their thoughts and beliefs as well as normalizing feelings they have. I think the client is an expert within their own experience and existence.
