Dr. Nadeem Bhatti

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with more than 20 years of experience in teaching and practicing psychiatry across a wide range of settings. My training began in Pakistan, where I completed my early education and earned my medical degree from Ayub Medical College. During my psychiatry residency at Texas Tech, I published and presented on topics in both adult and child psychiatry and was recognized for clinical excellence in psychotherapy.

Over the course of my career, I have worked in community psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, and both inpatient and outpatient care. I have also held leadership and medical directorship roles in public and private settings.

My clinical experience includes treating serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and psychiatric emergencies, and I have cared for patients across the lifespan, including children, adults, and older adults.

My background also includes research supported by NIMH grants, with work focused on psychosis, complex comorbidities, bipolar disorder genetics, and strategies to improve treatment adherence. I have a strong interest in transcultural psychiatry and in serving minority and underserved populations. As someone who is fluent in three languages, I bring a broad, culturally informed perspective to my work and strive to provide thoughtful, compassionate care that helps people create meaningful change in their lives.

In our first session, clients can expect a thoughtful and supportive conversation focused on understanding their concerns, history, and goals for care. I take time to listen carefully, ask questions to get a full picture of what they are experiencing, and work collaboratively to create a treatment plan that feels clear and personalized. My goal is to help each client feel heard, respected, and comfortable as we begin building a path forward together.
