Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate and committed Licensed Professional Counselor and Professor with over 16 years of experience in the counseling field. My professional background includes working in diverse environments such as community agencies, higher education institutions, and private practice. I now focus my work on supporting individuals in early-late middle life (ages 35+), focusing on issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, adjustment challenges, grief and loss, and a range of other mental health concerns. I earned my M.A. and Ed.S. degrees in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University. *I only provide individual counseling-not couples' therapy.

My approach to therapy

I firmly believe that establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of effective counseling. I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental, and empathetic space where clients feel safe to be their authentic selves. My approach is collaborative, working together with clients to promote overall wellness. I bring strengths in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, grief and loss support, and mindfulness practices. I am also culturally sensitive and have extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

What you can expect from me

You have taken a very positive step by deciding to seek help. My hope is for you to be successful in therapy and for you to meet your treatment goals. I see you as the true expert in the room because you know yourself better than anyone. My role is to help you navigate your thoughts and feelings in order to build insight and awareness to promote change. I will be my genuine self so that you know that I also will accept you as you are. Healing is possible!
