Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in trauma-focused care for adolescents, adults and families. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and trained in evidence-based modalities including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My clinical background includes work in a Children's Advocacy Center setting, where I have supported clients navigating complex trauma, family stressors, and systems involvement.

My approach to therapy

Being trauma-trained, I integrate structured, evidence-based interventions with a flexible, collaborative, client-centered approach that meets each person where they are. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space that fosters autonomy and healthy decision-making. Working from a systemic lens, I also consider family dynamics, cultural context, and developmental needs throughout treatment to build safety, emotional regulation, and insight.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming space focused on understanding their concerns, goals, and background at a comfortable pace. I prioritize building rapport and psychological safety, and there is no pressure to share more than what feels manageable. Together, we will begin identifying what brings you to therapy and discuss initial goals and next steps. The first session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions and get a sense of whether my style feels like a good fit for their needs.
