Natasha Palmer, LCSW, is a highly accomplished and compassionate mental health professional with more than 25 years of experience serving children, families, and vulnerable communities across New York. She is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Master Social Worker whose career reflects a deep commitment to advocacy, leadership, and transformative care.

Natasha earned her Master of Arts in Social Work from New York University, a Master of Arts in Special Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business from St. John’s University. Throughout her academic journey, she was recognized as a Dean’s List honoree, demonstrating both scholarly excellence and professional dedication.

Natasha is a longstanding member of the National Association of Social Workers. Beyond her professional roles, she serves as an Eagle Scout mentor and Citizenship in Society Merit Badge Counselor with Scouts of America, promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and leadership among youth.

My approach to therapy

Currently practicing as an Independent Contractor, Natasha provides comprehensive, client-centered mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. Her work includes diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. She specializes in trauma-informed care, Autism Spectrum Disorder screening and support, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strength-based psychotherapeutic approaches. Known for her calming presence and empathetic style, she helps clients develop coping skills, safety plans, and pathways toward long-term goals and well-being.

In addition to her extensive field experience, Natasha has pursued advanced clinical training across a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including trauma treatment, EMDR integration, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), suicide prevention, couples therapy, and neurodiversity-affirming autism care. She holds certification as a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and has completed advanced trauma certification training. Her professional development reflects her commitment to lifelong learning and delivering cutting-edge, ethical care.
