Great to meet you!

My journey to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker was shaped by my own experiences with hardship and trauma growing up. Because of this, I understand how difficult it can be to carry life's challenges while searching for someone you can truly trust and talk to. These experiences inspired me to pursue a career where I could help others feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing journey.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and my Master's in Social Work from Dominican University. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. My professional experience includes supporting individuals affected by trauma, domestic violence, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family-related challenges.

My approach to therapy

I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I believe healing begins when facing challenges in our mental health journey while being supported through the process. My approach is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. Helping clients to recognize their strengths and build confidence.

I know that reaching out for help can be one of the hardest steps. My goal is to make therapy feel approachable and supportive, meeting each person where they are. For those who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling and can thoughtfully incorporate spiritual perspectives into the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we begin getting to know one another. I will introduce myself, review the intake process, and talk through what to expect in therapy. We’ll explore what brings you in, your goals, and any questions you may have.

This time also helps us see if we are a good fit and clarify expectations so I can better understand your needs and how to support you most effectively.

I take a collaborative approach, where I help guide the session while also making space for you to lead with what feels most important. I aim to create a comfortable, down-to-earth environment where you feel heard, supported, and understood. If there is ever something I don't know, I will be honest about it, and we can work together to find answers and solutions.
