Great to meet you!

My career has always had relations with helping people. I grew up in an environment where there was such a stigma applied to focusing on your mental health needs. I've spent my professional career working with the severely mentally ill, which has taught be patience, compassion, and perspective outside of my own life. Life has also shown me that, if we can be taught to be more mindful of our thoughts and feelings, our behaviors will reflect more positive change.

My approach to therapy

I take a humanistic, but direct approach where I allow you to be the driver of your own path to healing but also as a passenger to assist in guiding you in implementing the strategies and skills discussed during sessions.

What you can expect from me

Identifying where the problems areas are with empathy and active listening. Then we move to gaining information to increase awareness of understanding problem areas and then moving to working through them by applying the necessary strategies/coping skills to do so.
