Great to meet you!

Finding the right therapist can feel daunting — especially when life is shifting under your feet. Maybe you're facing retirement, a new health diagnosis, or the loss of someone you love. Maybe your roles and identity are changing faster than you can make sense of them, anxiety keeps you up at night, or a low mood has dimmed things that used to bring you joy. Wherever you are, you don't have to sort through it alone.

I'm Nicole, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults and older adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic illness, and the emotional weight of aging. I bring a warm, collaborative, and genuinely nonjudgmental presence — one where you can show up exactly as you are. Together we'll move at your pace, exploring your story with curiosity and compassion and focusing on what matters most to you. My clients often tell me they finally feel heard, understood, and respected.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical, collaborative, and shaped around you rather than a one-size-fits-all formula. I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice and shift the thought patterns that fuel anxiety, depression, and stress, and I pair it with a Strength-Based, Positive Psychology lens that keeps us anchored to the resilience you've already built over the years.

In our first sessions, we'll slow down and get clear on what brought you in and what you want to feel differently. From there we set concrete, meaningful goals and revisit them regularly, so therapy never feels aimless. Some weeks we'll build coping and emotional-regulation skills; other weeks we'll simply make sense of a hard transition, a loss, or a health change together. I'll stay active and engaged — offering reflections, gentle structure, and honest feedback — while always leaving room for your pace. I believe people grow best when they feel safe, respected, and truly understood, and that meaningful change is possible at every stage of life

What you can expect from me

Over our work together, clients often notice anxiety becoming more manageable, low moods lifting, and sleep and daily energy improving. Many describe feeling steadier through transitions they once dreaded — retirement, a health change, or the loss of a loved one — and more able to set boundaries, ask for what they need, and reconnect with the parts of life that feel meaningful.

You can expect a calm, accepting space, a therapist who remembers your story and follows up, and steady progress toward goals we define together. Reaching out is a meaningful first step, and often the hardest one. If you're looking for someone who offers a grounded, compassionate presence and genuinely values your story, I'd be honored to work alongside you. When you're ready, I'm here.
