Great to meet you!

My dedication to serving vulnerable populations began early through hospice volunteering, peer tutoring, and mentoring at-risk youth. I later pursued a career in public education as a teacher, where I discovered a deep passion for social work. After earning my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Florida State University, I gained extensive experience working with diverse populations, including veterans, individuals in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient settings, family and child therapy, community social work, and school-based services. My professional focus centers on strengthening family connections by addressing client-driven needs such as marriage and parent-child relationships, maternal and postpartum care, navigating breakups and divorce, and managing financial challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in a client-centered approach, where I create a safe and supportive environment built on warmth, empathy, and trust. I believe each client brings their own unique strengths and experiences, and I tailor treatment to meet those individual needs. I utilize evidence-based treatment methods to ensure that clients receive effective and research-supported care, while also maintaining flexibility to adjust strategies as their journey unfolds. My work is solution-oriented, focusing on helping clients identify practical steps and develop tools that foster growth, resilience, and long-term well-being.

What you can expect from me

During the initial intake session, clients will be asked a variety of questions regarding their personal history, presenting concerns, and therapeutic goals. This session also provides an opportunity for the client to ask the therapist about what to expect throughout the process, review a prospective timeline, and gain a clear understanding of how the practice operates. The first session is designed to establish a collaborative foundation for treatment and to begin developing a tailored plan of care,
