Great to meet you!

I am a first-generation, bilingual Chicana. I am passionate about working with adults struggling with identity, stress, adjustments, and trauma so that they can better understand their place in the world. My most of my clinical experience in community mental health helps me provide a compassionate, safe space for you to explore your past, present, and future self. Recently, I have a grown interest working with other therapists as well.

My approach to therapy

I meet you where you are in your process and live by these words: “You are the expert of your own life.” I consider myself a guide in your process and will only challenge you as much as you want to be challenged. At times, I assign skills to practice at home, but I am also respectful of those who may not find this helpful. I do believe that implementing and practicing skills learned is more likely to bring about the change we desire.

What you can expect from me

Genuineness, compassion, and authenticity are the foundation of my work and how I lead my personal life. As a result, you will be met with honesty, and I will never assume or assign things that I myself have not tried. Much of the skill and knowledge I bring into the therapeutic space is from lived experience and gained through my own therapeutic work. While I may not have experienced what you have, the work that I have done within myself allows me to be empathically present for my clients.
