Professional Experience: Patricia is an experienced therapist with extensive private practice expertise, where she conducts thorough assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and facilitates therapy sessions that foster meaningful healing and personal growth. She is intentional about meeting clients where they are and tailoring interventions to align with their goals, strengths, and lived experiences.
In addition to her private practice work, Patricia serves as a behavioral health clinician, partnering with law enforcement to respond to individuals experiencing mental health crises. She provides on-site assessment, crisis intervention, and de-escalation, while coordinating community-based mental health services. Her work emphasizes diversion from unnecessary arrest or hospitalization and connecting individuals to the right level of care to promote safety, stabilization, and long-term wellbeing.
Patricia completed her clinical training through internships at Grady Health System, LaAmistad, where she served as a school counselor for an afterschool program supporting Latino youth, and the VA Health System, gaining hands-on experience with diverse populations across acute care, inpatient, and veteran-focused settings.
She holds an MS in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling/Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer Universityand a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia.
